"On the night of 24 June 1939, an attempt was made by armed bandits of Arabs to attack the town of Tiberias. Platoon Sergeant Major (PSM) Hollins was commanding a night patrol, of which the lead vehicle ran into an enemy road block on the road of Nazareth and was repeatedly hit by short-range fire. Returning the fire at once , PSM Hollins led a section straight at the enemy, which routed the rebels. Much useful information was captured during the this battle, the success of which lay firmly at the decisive and brave leadership of PSM Hollins."
