Biography

Frederick was born on September 3 1923 in London England as the son of Frederick Thomas and Dorris Minnie Broad, both British. He was married with Alice Broad-Carney (British) in Carlisle England on June 20 1944. They had a girl Avril and a new baby (Gerald Frederick Heath Broad) was born on July 30 1945 and his name is unknown. His sisters were: Dorothy Eleanor and Joan Alfreda Broad.

His profession was an apprentice tool maker and he was a member of the Anglican Church. His hobbies were: Canadian football, baseball and model aeroplanes.
He enlisted in 1942 in Toronto.

His aircraft took of Deurne (Antwerp) on Sunday November 19 1944 at 8.30 AM to attack a rail road crossing somewhere in East Holland and Frederick crashed down age 21 due to an intern explosion of his aircraft near Wijhe at the same day and he was thereafter buried there.

At his headstone: " He that believeth in Me, Though he were dead, Yet shall he live" St. John XI.25

He served with the 257 (R.A.F.) Sqdn.
