Working long and arduous hours in cooperation with another soldier, he perfected the highly successful new type armament, thus undoubtedly aiding in the successful completion of many operational missions since its adoption. The initiative, skill, and craftsmanship displayed by Sergeant Green reflect credit upon himself and the armed forces of the United States."
