Biography

Cornelis Janssen was born on July 14th, 1892 as the son to Johannes Janssen (1866-1950) and Hendrika Janssen-van Bakel (1863-1934). He married on April 17th, 1920 at Deurne with Anna Maria van Loon (1895-1968). Between 1922 and 1963 he lived on a farm at the Snoertsebaan 4 in Liessel where he worked as a farmer. The couple used their farm as a hideout for people who fled the Germans and Alllied pilots who tried to evade.
