Biography

Flew 121 combat missions in European-African-Middle Eastern Theatre and China-Burma-India Theatre as a P-40 and P-47 Fighter pilot with Squadron and Flight Leads. Landed on Salerno Beachhead 24 hours after invasion. Participated in Tokyo Raid, forming cover for B-29 Bombers. Did strafing in early raids on Rangoon (Burma). Total flying hours 760, which 250 were combat hours.
