Adrianus Johannes Josephus Vrinten was a former GS III employee who with his firm Zaal & Co in Germany worked for the British Intelligence. Without the knowledge of the Dutch and British secret services the firm was infiltrated by the German Abwehr. Adrianus Vrinten was born on November 13th, 1893 in Loon op Zand as the son of Gerardus Vrinten and Pieternella Adriana Vrinten-Jansen. On December 31st, 1918 he married Apolonia Gerarda Nooijen.
