Medal for Defender of Country
Instituted on 8th October 1999 by the President of the Republic of Ukraine. Is to be awarded for participation in the liberation of Ukraine from fascists or other defence of the state's interests and security.
Ribbon is blue with narrow yellow edges and a wide central orange stripe bearing 3 black stripes.
