Verdienstkreuz des Landes Tirol

By state decision of November 25th, 1964, both the "Verdienstkreuz des Landes Tirol" and the "Verdienstmedaille des Landes Tirol" were instituted. The "Verdienstkreuz" is made out of a silver 'latin' cross with on it a medallion with an eagle and laurel.
The 60 mm high and 50 mm wide cross should be worn as a pin on the left breast.
Each year no more then 48 crosses may be awarded and the total (living) cross recipients may not be more then 500.
