After the Velvet Revolution in 1989, Czechoslovakia became a democratic Republic until it in January 1993 was devided into a Czech and a Slovakian Republic. As from March 29th, 1990 until April 22nd, 1990 the countries formal name was Czecho-Slovakian Federal Republic (Czech: Ceskoslovenska federativni republika; Slovakian: Cesko-slovenska federativna republika) and after that Czech and Slovakian Federal Republic (Czech: Ceska a Slovenska Federativní Republika; Slovakian: Ceska a Slovenska Federatívna Republika). Internationaly the countrie was names as Czechoslovakia or Czecho-Slovakia.
