8 | No activity during the day. 'B'company was releived during the afternoon by a company of 1 Norfolk. During the five days that 'B'company had been stuck out of this unpleasant position in close contact with the enemy on three sides they had, by continuous aggressive action, established complete superiority over the enemy and had inflicted heavy casualties on him. On relief they went sent back for well-earned rest. During the night Ç'company of 1 Norfol , which was under command, drove off yet another attempt by the enemy to infiltrate into their positions. Eight other rank re-inforcements arrived. |
