HOLLAND | 1-21 | During this period no event of major interest or importance occurred. The Bde's job was left flank protection of the Div Centre Line running from VEGHEL up to OSS. For this purpose all pls were placed under command of the Bns in the Bde and carried out harassing tasks as and when requested. With the exception of 12 Pl each Pl was pulled out of the line for 48 hrs maintenance and rest and the Pl which was out of the line was used for harassing task if it was needed. Men were sent at the rate of 2 per day to EINDHOVEN for 24 hrs leave and all Pl Comd's had 48 hrs leave in BRUSSELS. Mobile Baths were made available in UDEN and VEGHEL and ENSA and cinema shows took place in VEGHEL. |
