Regt remained in same posn as previous day in bridgehead over the Meuse-Escaut canal. 32 Bde ….of Gds Armd Div were relieved in br hd during the day by the 231 Bde of 50 Div comd by Brigadier Sir Alexander Stanier and consisting of Bn Hampshires, Bn Devons and Bn Dorsets, who took over posns in the West, North and East of the br hd respectively. There was a certain amount of shelling and mortaring into the br hd and a few enemy were seen, particularly in the North and West. Nothing of note happened during the day. |
