26 | 0005 | 1 Gordons op commenced when the bn adv with A & C Coys leading. By 0100 hrs Phase I of the op was complete, no opposition having been met beyond some rather weak DF. At 0350 hrs 1 Gordons reported that they had taken all objectives with the exception of Frobisher, where quite hy opposition had been encountered. The Bn Comd decided not to push on further until first light when he could get tk sp. At 0700 hrs with one sqn tks in sp. 1 Gordons renewed their attack and by 0730 his had taken Frobisher. Cas to 1 Gordons were 2 ORs killed. 3 Offrs and 10 ORs wounded. 45 PW were taken all from 1034 IR. At 0720 hrs the Cl 40 br at ESCH was open. |
