19 | 0825 | 2 RUR now had tps in wood 418959 and had despatched contact patrol to 1 KOSB who were fighting 300 yards short of the rly line in face of hy fire from many MGs sited on the rly. This was not considered to be any serious hold-up and OC 1 KOSB thought he would be able to deal with them, these however proved very stubborn and took some time to displace. One tp of armd cars of 3 Recce Regt came under comd and were despatched fwd to come under comd 1 KOSB. |
