19 1730 8 Brit Inf Bde commenced their push on to HAMONT. At this time 1 KOSB were still moving slowly toward their objective and meeting opposition. 2 RUR were firm on the rly and sending contact patrols to 6 Green Howards (50 Div) on their left to 403967 and 2 Lincolns remained in the immediate area of the canal protecting the rt flank of the bridgehead.
