23 | 1940 | On the return of the Comd units were warned to stand by ready to move off at 0800 hrs 24 Sep. A day of no great event to us but of great event to the local population judging by the rough manner of treatment meted out to a so-called collaborator by the huge throng passing outside this HQ. The menacing mien of his immediate guard threatens the possibility of his being incarcerated in one piece. |
