24 | 1900 | With the return of the Bde Comds recce party came the news that the Bde would move first thing tomorrow 25 Sep. The knowledge of something definite was comforting after two days of move order, and counter order. The last three days have been thoroughly enjoyed by all ranks. This state is due in no small manner to the good offices of the Mother Superior and Sisters of the Convent of the Order of St. Ursula who by their many kindnesses made us experience real comfort. We have been able to house every man of Bde GQ in the convent, and with gifts of fruit and notebooks, writing paper and pencils, the good sisters showed their gratitude for the driving away of the Boche who had previously occupied their buildings. Issue of Mov Order as annexure to OO No 9. Appx ‘D’. | Appx ‘D’ Folio 10. |
