16 0800 250 Battery report that their post in BOXMEER at 770404 engaged an enemy patrol at 0315 hours this morning. Engagement lasted half to three-quarters of an hour. We suffered no casualties but post is certain enemy suffered some casualties. The ground was examined after daybreak and the following German equipment was found:- 1 rifle, 1 belt with 25 rds ammunition, 1 pair wirecutters, 1 machine carbine, 3 full magazines for carbine, 1 Panzer-faust.
