Photo report Airborne commemoration Arnhem West 2024
During the first days of the Battle of Arnhem in September 1944, there was heavy fighting in West Arnhem. The British Airborne soldiers encountered heavy resistance from the Germans in their attempts to reach the Rhine Bridge. Every year on Friday during the 'Arnhem weekend' there is a commemoration at the monument September 1944. This year too, the turnout was large.
