The 36th Bastogne Historic Walk will take place on the 14th of December 2013. The route of the march will go through the sector of Flamierge and Mande Saint- Étienne. Hikers have the choice to select from three distances: 7, 13 or 22 kilometers [approx. 4.5 mi, 8.1 mi or 14 mi]. Departure will take place between 08:00 and 09:30 from the Sports Center of Bastogne.

Practical information Bastogne Historic Walk 2013
In the weekend of the Bastogne Historic Walk, traditionally various events have been planned. Like for example on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 December the re-enactment event of Duty First and HMRA in the sector of Recogne – Cobru. Also the
Bastogne Barracks (Headquarters Gen. McAuliffe) are open all weekend and invite you to participate in many activities.
On the website of the Bastogne municipality you will find the following activities for Saturday 14 December 2013:
- 08:00: Start of the 36th Bastogne Historic Walk
- 09:00 – 16:00: Re-enactment events in the sector of Recogne – Cobru
- 15:00: Departure of the patriotic parade in front of the city hall and placing of wreaths at the Patton and McAuliffe monuments
- 16:00: Nuts will be thrown from the balcony of the city hall
- 18:30: Mass for the executed at the l'église Saint-Pierre
