Bastogne Historic Walk 2014 on the 13th of December, 2014

The 37th Bastogne Historic Walk will take place on Saturday the 13th of December, 2014. The route of the march will lead you through the southern sector around Senonchamps, Villeroux and Assenois. Hikers may choose from a distance of 8, 12 or 20 kilometers (approximately 5, 7.5 or 12.5 miles). Registration for a fee of € 6.00 from 07:00 till 09:30 AM and departure from 08:00 from the Sports Center in Bastogne.

Saturday 13 December 2014:
07:00 – 09:30 Registration for the Bastogne Historic Walk at the Sports Center of Bastogne.
08:00 – 09:30 Departure of the Bastogne Historic Walk from the Bastogne Sports Center.
09:00 – 18:00 Opening of the Museum “Bastogne Barracks” with military items trade fair.
10:00 – 18:00 Trade fair war books, Salle Vitrée du Séminaire, Place en Piconrue 6, Bastogne.
11:00 – 16:30 German Static-Displays in Cobru and American Static-Displays in Recogne.
14:00 – 15:00 Patriotic Parade and laying of wreaths at the Patton and McAuliffe Monuments.
15:15 – 16:15 Throwing of nuts from the balcony of the Town Hall of Bastogne.
16:15 – 23:00 Re-enactment, static displays and (musical) entertainment in the center of Bastogne.

10:00 – 10:50 Church Service before the unveiling of the Monument Desobry in Noville.
10:50 – 11:00 Presenting a wreath for those executed in Noville.
11:00 – ??:?? Unveiling of the Monument for Desobry in Noville.
10:00 – 12:00 German Static-Displays in Cobru and American Static-Displays in Regogne.
13:00 – 14:30 Re-enactment by over 300 re-enactors around the villages of Cobru and Recogne.
14:00 – 18:00 Trade fair war books, Salle Vitrée du Séminaire, Place en Piconrue 6, Bastogne.
15:00 – ??:?? Parade of military vehicles in the main street of Bastogne.
