Allied operation in La Spezia, Italy from December 27th, 1944 to February 15th, 1945, carried out by 33 men of the 2nd SAS regiment. They were assigned to raise unrest among the German troops in this mountain area. Donkey’s were used for transportation and contact was made with the Italian resistance. 150 Germans dead, 22 motor cycles destroyed.
