Successful secret American mission carried out by three agents of the Office of Strategic Services (OSS). They were dropped on parachutes over the Austrian Alps, near the Italian border, on February 25, 1945. Their main mission was to find out why the railroad connection between Austria and Germany remained operational despite repeated Allied bombing of bridges.
