30.07.1943: Gefreiter, 3./ JG 26, WIA when his Fw 190A-5 Werknummer 5.895 coded "Yellow 9" was hit by B-26 return fire north of Wuustwezel. He bailed successfully, but was injured upon landing.
14.01.1944: Uffz., KIA during aerial combat in Fw 190A-6 Werknummer 550.241 coded "White 6" with a P-47 of 4FG at Beauvais. He bailed successfully, but bled to death in his chute from wounds sustained during the dogfight.
