"Nang Maria Sae de Cruze, acquired great merit in organizing and sustaining help to a group of about 300 Netherlands prisoners of war in Haadyai.
With the assistance of her sons Nai Phun and Nai Kekleng, her daughter Prachuab and members of the Catholic mission she was able at great risk to herself to supply said P.O.W. regularly with food, medicines, clothing and money. With her son Nai Phun she went out daily moreover to receive news from abroad by wireless which was transmitted by her to the P.O.W., whose morale was thereby greatly strengthened.
Thanks to her undaunted activities and thos of her collaborators, the Netherlands prisoners of war in Haadyai were not too bad off."
