Recommendation:
"Capitaine Joseph Guillet worked in an inter-allied mission in Savoy from January 1944 onwards, constandly affording shelter to the British and American members. He organised the collection and storage of a number of food dumps in the department as a reserve for D-Day amd so well chosen were his caches that not one of them was dicovered by the Germans, and they proved of great value to the F.F.I. in subsequent operations.
At short notice Capitaine Guillet organised his area for a successful dropping operation by thirteen aircraft on a grund covered in deep snow in most difficult mountain country where numerous German garrisons were constandly sending out patrols.
He tok part in many actions which resulted in the freeing of his department and the capture and destruction of many Germans.
It is recommended that he be appointed a member of the Order of the British Empire (Military Division)(Honorary)."
