Friedrich Wilhelm Bergen served with the 10. Kompanie, Fallschirmjäger-Regiment 16 and was killed in action near Haalderen, the Netherlands on December 4th, 1944. His remains were at first buried at the communal cemetery "De Teselaar" in Bemmel. On November 14th, 1957 his remains were transferred to the German War Cemetery Ysselsteyn.
