31 October 1944 WO 171/1397 - 2 East Yorkshire Regiment
The MO went fwd during the morning to bring in cas from blown-up carriers. He was accompanied by Capt. Smith (Carrier Pl Comd). At the x-tracks they were captured by a pl. of the enemy, who subsequently released the MO, but retained Capt Smith as a PW. Enemy here apparently just about to pull out.
