Recced our positions which we are to take over from Guards Armd Div on the 7th. No. 1 Indep MG Coy NF were all in good heart. We were all surprised to see Major HB Van der Gucht in command as we did not think his nerves would allow him to take part in active ops again. 30 Corps Comd paid a visit to the Bde.
