Franz Droste reached the rank of Funker and had the text 3913-Pz.Jäg.Ers.Abt.6 Stamm.Kp.O on his dogtag. He died in Bemmel on September 20th, 1944. Most likely he was wounded at or before that date in the battles for the Waal bridges and was wounded transferred to a hospital in Bemmel, where he died. His remains were at first buried at the Communal Cemetery De Teselaar in Bemmel and was transferred to the German War Cemetery in Ysselsteyn on December 9th, 1957.
