"This officer was parachuted into France on teh 28th May 1944 as arms instructor to a circuit in the Sarthe department, and was given the task of organising a maquis group. he devoted himself to this task with great energy, and developped a small but efficient group.

On the 20th June, while leading his group in an engagement with a superior enemy force, Bec was killed.

It is recommended that this officer be mentioned in Despatchs (Posthumous Award).
