Citation:
"This officer was recruited in FRANCE by a British organiser early in 1942 and, after working for several months with a circuit in the LYONS area, he came to ENGLAND in August 1942 to be trained for a further mission.

Lt. FOX was parachuted back into FRANCE on the 23rd March 1943 to organise a circuit in the MEAUX area. Litlle is known of his achievements durng this mission, for he was arrested early in September 1943. He was deported to GERMANY, and was executed at FLOSSENBURG Concentration Camp on the 29th March 1945.

For the courageous work he carried out in the LYONS area in 1942 and for his courage in volunteering to be parachuted into FRANCE on a hazardous mission in 1943, it is recommended that this officer be awarded a Mention in Despatches (Posthumous).
