Biography

Born in Turkey, Nicholas Allington was raised in France. He joined the French Foreign Legion in 1940​.
At some point he joined the Pioneer Corps​ in the UK and was then transferred to No. 21 Independent Parachute Company 1943-44 (Pte)​ and volunteered for SOE in the summer og 1944​.
His codename was Agrippa.

"This oficer was parachuted into France on the 17th July, 1944 as instructor to a circuit in the Orleans area.

He took command of a small maquis group, which he led in several guerilla engagements. At all times he conducted himself bravely, giving a fine example to his men, and was wounded in action on the 11th August.

It is recommended that this officer be Mentioned in Despatches."
