Dr. Constant Croin was born in Dordrecht in 1893. He worked as a urologist in The Hague and was a convinced national socialist. In the NSB he held various positions such as Authorized Representative [of the Leader] for the Medical Service, deputy head of the Medical Front, head of the NSB-aligned Medical Chamber and president of the NSB-aligned Association of Health Insurance Physicians. He encountered a lot of resistance from other doctors, whom he actively suppressed in collaboration with the German occupying forces.
Croin was investigated by a special prosecutor after the war and the case was tried in court. After the war he emigrated to South Africa where he died in 1968 at the age of 74.
