Biography

Anton Harloff was born in 1870 in Salatiga on Central Java. Harloff was trained as a government official and was appointed to the General Secretariat in Buitenzorg in 1891. He then held various civil service positions and became a member of the Council of the Indies and the Association of National Recovery.

In 1924, Harloff retired and emigrated to the Netherlands. Here he wrote various articles for the magazine "De Rijkseenheid". In the NSB, Harloff was appointed by Mussert as Authorized Representative [of the Leader] for Dutch Indies Affairs.

After the war, Harloff was prosecuted by a special public prosecutor and his case was brought before the court.

Anton Harloff died in 1955 at the age of 84 in The Hague.
