Second mate ss Rooseboom

The SS Rooseboom left Emmahaven (Padang) for Colombo on February 26, 1942 with approximately 500 evacuees on board. The ship was torpedoed about 600 miles from the island of Siberia.
Honig lost his life. Of the estimated number of 540 people on board, only six people survived the disaster.
