Biography

Mate at the Dutch Colonial Petroleum Company N.V.

Stroeve was called up for military service in the Dutch East Indies and served as a militia sailor in the Royal Navy. As a prisoner of war he was transported by the Japanese to Thailand and there, working on the infamous Burma Railway, he died in Kanchanaburi on July 31, 1943.
