"This officer has had a varied operational career. He has led many sea level reconnaissances in every type of weather, and covering the entire length of the Dutch coastline. He has also led two attacks on shipping and locomotives over Northern Holland. This officer's courage, leadership and flying skill have been beyond praise. "
