Sergeant Richard Thomson Williams, navigator of the Short Stirling MK1 BF415 which was shot down by a German night fighter near Montfoort on Thursday 4 February 1943 during a mission to Hamburg. He and the rest of the crew died in the crash and are buried in Montfoort Municipal Cemetery.
