This officer was Officer Commander 11 Canadian Provost Company throughout the advance of the Canadian forces through Holland. He worked in close touch with the Dutch civilian police and also was in charge of arrangements for escorting the Royal Family of Holland on numerous occasions. His untiring zeal and devotion to duty contrubuted largely to the excellent relations which obtained between the military police and the Dutch civilian authorities, and the maintenance of discipline during this difficult period of war.

For excellent service by the said officers rendered to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, in the preparation and execution of operations of Canadian forces for the liberation of the territory in EUROPE in the period September 1944 to May 1945.
