Conscript Sergeant of the Engineers, Engineers Depot, 5th Division , Paul van Oostveen by profession of construction, was killed by German shellfire in the garden of Gemert castle on 11 May 1940. He was initially buried in Gemert and was reburied on the Dutch Field of Honour on the Grebbeberg in 1980.
