Biography

William Henry Devine was killed on July 20, 1944, during SAS Operation Houndsworth. His jeep ran into a convoy of German soldiers and in the firefight that followed, he and Captain Laurence Roy Bradford were killed. They are buried side by side in Crain's Municipal Cemetery.
