George Adelbert lived at Prinsesseweg 53a in Groningen and was married to G.A.Huygen. He was a zincographer-graphic artist at the Noord Nederlandse Clichéfabriek in Groningen. He was a member of the resistance group De Groot en De Vonk and was arrested by the SD on 13 February 1945 together with his director Kamp. He was deported to Neustad and died of exhaustion on 7 June 1945.
