Christiaan lived at Anna Pauwlownastraat 24 in Groningen and was married to H.v.d.Niet. He was a supervisor in the Groningen prison and is in the individual resistance. He was also a bookbinding teacher. He helped the prisoners where he could. He died of illness and deprivation in Neuengamme on 15 March 1945.
