Biography

Lt. Walton served in World War II with the U.S. Naval Air Corps with the ‘lighter-than-air service” and was the commanding officer and pilot on the Navy’s largest blimp, “Mighty Mike”. Lt. Walton was stationed overseas for 13 months in Africa and Pisa, Italy, where he did submarine patrol work and also contacted mines for a minesweeper.
