“Generalleutnant Noeldechen: New Knight’s Cross Holder in Salzburg

… The Knight’s Cross was awarded to him after hard defensive fighting south of Lake Ladoga. Generalmajor Noeldechen inspired the Grenadiers of his Lower Saxonian Division to launch a counterthrust against the Bolsheviks that had penetrated the line, one which succeeded in both eliminating the enemy and restoring the main battle line in its entirety.

Generalmajor Noeldechen has by now been promoted to Generalleutnant.”
