    Biography

    Peter Edward Robinson was born July 16th, 1910, in Toronto. He was educated at UTS and the St. Andrews University in Scotland and at Osgoode Hall in Toronto.

    September 13th, 1939, he entered service in the Royal Regiment of Canada as a Lieutenant and subsequently held various postings with the 4th Canadian Division, the 2nd Canadian Division, 1st Corps and the Canadian Planning Staff. From June 21st, 1943 onwards he served as Intelligence Officer GSO (Int.) at HQ 1st Canadian Army where he was promoted to Colonel GS (Int.) on May 3rd, 1945.

    After the war he was involved in the foundation of the Canadian Military Intelligence Association, becoming its First President, afterwards he was employed as Barrister and QC by Wright and McTaggert in Toronto. April 3rd, 1969 he was appointed to the Supreme Court in Toronto and sat on the High Court of Justice until 1977.

    Peter Edward Robinson passed away November 26th, 1986.
