06.07.1944: attacked near Ushant by Canadian destroyers HMCS QU'APPELLE, HMCS SASKATCHEWAN, HMCS SKEENA and HMCS RESTIGOUCHE while protecting the convoy consisting of U-212 and U-309 and rended ungovernable by an artillery shell
V-715 returned fire while burning and escpaed after a 1 hour battle named 'Battle of Pierres Noires'
V-715 drifted on fire and she was abandoned, south east of the Canal du Fromveur after 6 hours by her crew
