Biography

He entered the Bayerische Landes Polizei in 1934 while in school. In 1936, he was called to duty in the Wehrmacht, entering with the rank of Leutnant. He was wounded twice, once in April 19th 1942 and again in March of 1945 on the Russian front. He was brought to a field hospital in Czechoslovakia where he died of his wounds on April 15, 1945. He is buried in Valasske Mezirici, Czechoslavakia. He was survived by his wife, Ursula Anastasia Wieditz, two daughters, Karin and Dagmar, and son Frank-Dietrich Wilhelm Wieditz.
