Biography
Son of Bogislaw von Bonin, his brothers, Oberst Bogislaw von Bonin (DKiG), RKT Major Hubertus von Bonin KIA 15.12.1943 with JG52 and Jürgen-Oskar von Bonin, KIA as an observer in a Transportgeschwader.
Eckart-Wilhelm von Bonin entered the Luftwaffe in 1937 in dienst bij de Luftwaffe and reached the rank of Major as Kommandeur II. / Nachtjagd-Geschwader 1.
He flew a total of about 150 operational sorties, and in this time he was credited with 37 night victories as well as destroying 2 four-engined bombers by day.
